(!Politics (Blogfa - by Zizilak

I am back to work, it is late afternoon and almost every one is gone home, but I have at least 3 more hours of experiments to run, before I can go back home. If I was still back in Iran I would just take the phone and start calling my Zizili to see when she would show up! It is sooooo boring.

In the last two week, when I was far away, and didn't have proper access to Canadian new, a lot has changed. Right after a messy election, when everyone expected the government to last for at least a couple of years a political storm took over the country, The liberal oppositions have a new leader now, one that has a reasonable chance to win over the current conservative party and that makes many here happy, except the people of Calgary, the home town of the current prime minister.

I am checking the news almost hourly with great excitement. A new liberal government can mean a lot to an immigrant, it might give my family a chance to visit me here in Canada. A simple pleasure that seemed impossible for a couple of years after re-election of the current government, under which the requirements for obtaining a Canadian visa was so hard that it was almost impossible for elderly parents to visit their children in Canada.

Canada is a great country and I don't think the current conservative government is living up to it, I hope after the Parliament resumes in January, the coalition government take over the conservatives.

BTW, if you are a Canadian, please sign this: Canadians for a progressive coalition
